Question by ayj: What does one have to do to become a dental hygienist?
How much schooling is involved, and how much can you expect to make?
Answer by idforyah
In the US, there are 2 general options: a 2 year Associate’s Degree program, and a 4 year Bachelor’s Degree program. It depends on the school. Check out the student page of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association. Also, do a google search for dental hygiene programs in whatever state you live in. Check local community colleges for programs as well. Oh, talk to one of the hygienists at your dentist’s office to ask about schooling.
